What's
Next?
Long story short, I have no idea what comes next. At the same time, here are a couple of things that I am hoping for:
-
Graduate School! I do not feel done with education yet! In the next few years, I plan to apply for Master's in Public Administration (MPA) and/or Master's in Social Work (MSW) programs.
-
Travel! I am also hoping to eventually travel internationally, once it is safe and responsible to do so.
-
Work! While waiting for the two options above to become viable, I hope to find a recession-proof job in Olympia (my hometown!) in state government, campaigns, elections, or social service provision.
It is certainly daunting to be more aimless than I've ever been. I am also torn leaving UW sooner than I had planned for. Even so, if undergrad has taught me anything, it is that I should trust myself more than I do. As I go through this next year in Olympia, I will be leaning on the lessons and people that were so important to me during my time at UW. I anticipate this next year to be a good lesson in trusting the process and moving one step at a time.
